Alan Roulstone's Tintern

Seen here in a photograph dating from slightly later in the 1950s, Alan Roulstone lived for some weeks in Tintern in 1952 before moving across the Wye to Brockweir. Not only was the first of his books. A Pub-Crawler's Companion: the Wye Valley, hatched in the Moon & Sixpence, but while living in the vicinity he contrived to sell drawings to a large number of local publicans; and when back in the area in 1964 he did so again. Some of his Tintern drawings are featured below.
